Two types of dredgers developed and designed by China State Shipbuilding Corporation 708 were delivered and started construction!

On September 19, my country's first and the world's largest 15,000 cubic meter capacity liquefied natural gas (LNG) dual-fuel powered trailing suction dredger "Xinhai Sturgeon" developed and designed by China State Shipbuilding Corporation 708 was successfully delivered. 

On the same day, the construction of a 25,000 cubic meter trailing suction dredger developed and designed by 708 Research Institute also officially started.

The "Xinhai Sturgeon" is equipped with the domestically advanced and highly intelligent "one-button dredging" and "dredging-driving-in-one" systems, successfully achieving single-man driving and dredging operations for the first time in China. 

In gas mode, the ship can significantly reduce nitrogen oxide and carbon dioxide emissions, eliminate sulfur oxide and particulate matter emissions, and is green, environmentally friendly, energy-saving, and safe.
